It has been said that the 20th century was the age of matter, and the 21st century is the age of information. Every age has its metaphysics. At cryptonomics, we think that much economic thinking is still too calibrated to the age of matter, whilst information technology, and bold speculations of its promises, is too often economically illiterate. In our own small way, we hope to improve both by applying methods and concepts of one to the other.

Sometimes a post may stray from this geeky remit with something on politics, music, …something worthy. Hopefully you’ll enjoy those interludes too.
